Robert, this has 3 safeties all together. It has a manual thumb safety on the left side for right handed shooters. It also has a trigger blade safety so the trigger cannot be pulled without constant pressure on the trigger. It also has a drop safety Incase you drop the pistol with a round in the chamber it won't accidentally fire. Hope this helps.
