Burney, the Benelli will cycle light loads like nobody's business Sir. Cheers and stay safe!

Benelli recommends 1 1/8 oz. loads in all 12 gauge semi-autos. Some cycles 1 oz just fine but it is pushing inertia guns to far to be reliable. So it might struggle with "extra light load" or "low recoil" specific shell that is 1oz or less. I hope this helps!
