Thomas, the barrel is not fluted. Either buds is using an incorrect photo or the picture just makes it look fluted. If you Google the upc 082442858760 you can find better pictures. Hope this helps.

Thomas, always trust the manufacturer UPC code. This rifle has a 22.4" non fluted Carbon Steel barrel with a 1:11" twist rate and a Target Crown. Cheers and stay safe!
