Joe, this does not have a manual thumb safety. Buds saying this does have a safety is a typo on their end. If you ever need more information or photos you can Google the upc 725327613787 buds always lists the upc under description. It'll bring up more information/pictures. That's what I do if I need more information on a certain product. We're just customers as yourself not buds employees, so can't really say why they don't add more pictures. Hope this helps.
