Chris, I know alot of people were complaining they didn't like the logo on the side, so it's possible they did away with it. You can contact the manufacturer at 1-800-331-0852 Mon-Fri 8:00AM-5:00PM or email them at ( qa@smith-wesson.com ) to see if their new M&P's don't have the logo anymore. Hope this helps.
