Mark, I have one similar to this. You will need a sling swivel or qd swivel. The mash clip is too big to fit on the swivel stud, it's just a quick way to remove it from the sling swivel. If you Google mash clip you can find pictures of what it looks like. Here's a link to a inexpensive pair of sling swivels I've used if interested.
