I watched the videos , I have the instructions on how to remove the upper hand guard. It is not the HOW TO it will not come up past half way. The gun is new just received it 6 / 31 22 thursday. The knob to set the ejection will barely turn so I wanted to clean out the piston. BUT the upper hand guard will not come out past 1/2 and binds , and the release lever is clear of the upper. I don't want to pry or force it out , the gun is brand new.

Contact the JTS only they can help you. As it sounds like you have a stripped thread for the gas system port most likely it wasn't' threaded right. etc. Just warranty it that's what its for. Good Luck!
