Jay, your dealer is incorrect. The expiration date on the KSRH-7 6 Round .44 MAG 7.5" is 1/1/2023 as listed on the CA DOJ Handun Roster here (just drill down to model KSRH-7) : https://oag.ca.gov/firearms/certified-handguns/search?make=151002 - Cheers and stay safe!
Jay, yes, the Super Redhawk KSRH-7 6 Round .44 MAG 7.5" is California compliant/legal as of now. Not sure why your FFL said it wasn't. I'd contact a different FFL because it's perfectly legal. I own a Ruger new model super Blackhawk 44 mag from 1979 and fantastic revolvers. Hope this helps
Jay, if you are talking about this one >> thttps://www.budsgunshop.com/product_info.php/products_id/70252/ruger+5501+super+redhawk+ksrh-7+6rd+.44+mag+7.5 ....it is CA compliant, as stated on Ruger's website here >>> https://ruger.com/products/superRedhawkStandard/specSheets/5501.html
