No, it's chambered for 7.62x51 (7.62 NATO or .308) and not 7.62x39. I hope this helps!

Fred, no Sir. The M1A1 (M-14) is chambered in .308/7.62x51 and not 7.62x39. The difference is shown here : https://www.ammunitiontogo.com/lodge/7-62x51-vs-7-62x39/

Fred, no, the M1A1 M-14 is chambered in 7.62×51, Wich Is the military version of 308 Winchester. So it wouldn't be able to fire 7.62×39 Wich is an ak round. Sorry but hope this helps.

Short answer is No. The M1A1 M-14 is chambered in 7.62×51 NATO.

Fred, no, the M1A1 is chambered for 7.62x51, which is a completely different caliber then 7.62x39. Have a great day!
