Carlos, the Gen 1 has a smooth Hand Guard and the Gen 2 has a textured Hand Guard and Gen 3 has a Textured Hand Guard and a U Shaped fencing around crossbolt safety. Carlos, the easiest way to tell if it's a second gen is if it has a picatinny rail on the handguard. First gen doesn't have a picatinny rail and second gen does. Hope this helps.

Carlos, as long as it has a pic rail on top, it is a Gen 2 or Gen 3. The first generation did not have the pic rail. Have a great day!
