Gary, Non- functioning means looks like the real thing but does not have the same operational function. In short, just for aesthetics and not function. Cheers and stay safe!
My first Answer to this question is Being "Reveiwed"??? So let me try it like this, lol My local Shop has a 9mm rifle with a Faux Suppressor at the End. Looks cool indeed but it is as James G. Stated, just for aesthetics, It won't Suppress or Silence IE Non-functional.
Gary, if something is non-functioning, it is for looks only. It will give your gun that 'cool' look, but has no functional value, usually because the real deal is an NFA item and requires a $200 stamp or is illegal in your area. Have a great day!
Gary, as others have stated non-functioning for say a suppressor means it's only for looks. It won't make the firearm and quieter. Not sure what item your talking about so trying to think of items buds would use the term non-functioning for. For a firearm sometimes they will take old collectable firearms and make them so they won't fire/non-functioning to sell them as decorations. Pretty much no matter what it's referring to it just means it's for looks, decorative and has no other function than looking good. Hope this helps.
