It is difficult to say without knowing where you live for sales tax or what method of transfer you would be using - for instance my usual FFL dealer charges $25. If you add the handgun to your cart you can proceed through the checkout process and you should be able to see the exact amount including tax (but not including potential FFL transfer fees) on the page where your payment information is entered. You can do this without actually entering a credit card number or anything and without placing the order.
It depends on what is considered the "average sales tax" in your state. Where I live I pay 7%. Because of "special taxes" in the larger cities I pay over 8%percent online. If you put the handgun in your cart and start the checkout procedure, Buds will show tax and shipping or insurance.
Dennis, Bud's charges sales tax for the state in which you live. If you live in Delaware, there would be no sales tax, NJ would be 6.625%. It all depends on where you live. The highest sales tax rate in the US is 7%, so the most you would be charged is $16.57 for a total of $253.32. Also, be sure to add in the transfer fee from your FFL (typically $25-75) and any NICS background check fees. (Shouldn't exceed $20)
