I know newer versions have thicker hammers and something about the trigger. From the picture it doesn't look like this has the same hammer as the new ones. Anybody know for certain?

Hey Tyler, you did not specify a firearm. Most newer revolver manufacturers have gone to a wider slightly lower hammer and a more rearward trigger with less take up/creep.

Use the UPC to confirm. Lots of photos are stock photos of older models.
