Ryan, yes, normally buds will let you add the money paid to a different firearm. They may try to charge a restocking fee but if you talk to them they usually they're willing to wave the fee. Ryan, Items on a layaway cannot be changed once the 20% deposit has been received. If a layaway is cancelled prior to 90 days the 20% deposit will NOT be refunded.
