James, if a layawayed firearm is banned by your State before your layaway is completed, Buds will give you the option of a replacement legal firearm or a full refund. Banned would be banned and Buds follows strict Federal Laws and would accommodate you no issue in this scenario since it would be beyond your control. Cheers and stay safe!
James, unfortunately if Illinois bans AR-15s before you complete the layaway buds would be unable to complete the transaction. They would either refund you unless you would want to add the money already paid to a different firearm. The firearm would have to be transferred into your name before the ban goes into effect. The bill still has to pass the Senate Wich I find unlikely that'll happen but unfortunately nowadays you can never be sure. My best advice would be to pay it off as quickly as possible. Sorry but hope this helps and good luck.
normally when a ban is put in place the start date of that law is a month or more in the future which would give you time to complete the purchase. If the law changes I am almost sure that buds would not charge a cancellation fee because YOU did not cancel it Buds Canceled it due to a law change Contact Buds customer service (859) 368-0371 available 9AM to 9PM CST Monday through Friday or use the blue chat now button and they will help you .
