Ricardo, yes Sir. This is standard for local FFL's. This fee can range from $20 to $50 depending on the FFL Dealer. My local Transfer FFL charges $20. This fee is for their doing of your transfer paperwork/time. Cheers and stay safe!
Yes sir. My gunshop charges $40 for tranfers, it's common practice. You'll fill out a form & they will run a background check before turning firearm over to you.
Ricardo, yes that is correct. When you go to pick up the firearm the FFL will charge a transfer fee to do the background check/transfer. As others have said it can range from $20 to $50 depending on Wich FFL dealer you use. Even if you buy the firearm from them they normally charge a transfer fee, my local FFL charges $5 if you buy directly from him and $20 if you buy online and it's shipped to him. I'd recommend looking around your area and asking a couple local FFL dealers how much they charge that way you can find the cheapest transfer fee. Also if you use buds FFL locator it Should show buds last known transfer fee cost. Hope this helps.
Ricardo, yes, your FFL will charge a transfer fee, which can range from $25-100, depending on the dealer. In some states, you will also have to pay for any applicable fees for your background check, usually $15.
