Earl, unfortunately no since the cases for .38 Special are rimmed and head and the .380 rimless. They would not head space on the rimless case as the .38 Special's rimmed case. The .380 case would slip and slide fore and aft as the revolver tilts. Cheers and stay safe!

Earl, sorry but no 380 acp snap caps won't work in a 38 special revolver. Honestly in modern firearms especially revolvers there's no need for snap caps to dry fire unless you want to get use to loading unloading to practice. The only time I use snap caps is for rimfire cartridge's like 22lr because the firing pin hits the chamber and can cause damage.
