Hi Rocky, not recommended by Mossberg so I would not. That said, the Federal loads with Flite-Control shot cup and Hornady loads with the Versa-tite shot cup cover the shot until it is out of the barrel before it disengages with the shot several yards from the muzzle. Cheers and stay safe!

Rocky, no, you should never shoot anything with the choke removed or you will risk damaging the threads. The 590S comes with a cylinder bore choke installed, which is fine for slugs and buckshot. Rocky, no, if you shoot it with any type of ammo without the choke tube it'll damage the choke threads. Mossberg uses accuchokes and your best option would be to purchase a improved cylinder choke wich will have the best accuracy. Buds has some in stock and ready to ship.
