Hi Christopher, even though new, field strip and clean all the grease from the frame guide rails and slide guide rail slots. Put a light coating of synthetic lube on those spots. Manually work the rack the action 10 or 15 times and lock the slide back and leave it over night. Load and fire it again to test for functionality. If you are using new brand name ammo, it is highly unlikely the ammo. Cheers and report back.
