I recently made a large purchase and days later I noticed the site has a discount to applied individuals. Is there anyway to get the discount or a credit applied to that purchase or all sales are final???

Jesse, Bud's veteran discount is not a true veteran discount.  Not all items are eligible for the discount. If the item does not say 'QP' (Qualified Professional) only, then no discount is given. If it does say 'QP' only, you would not have been able to purchase the item without giving your credentials. Most likely, the items you purchased did not qualify for the discount anyway.
