Ron, sorry I was editing my answer and it got deleted. Despite what wikipedia says, I have seen on some forums that some 1878 Coach Guns are made in China, and even Pakistan. PRC= Peoples Republic of China. And if it says 2 3/4", it cannot fire 3" shells. Edward, from what I'm reading the pietta 1878 coach is made in Italy. The cimmaron one the manufacturer states it's made in Italy but digging into it more did read some forums stating old ones were made in China and new in Pakistan.
