Hi Mark, it is a magazine issue. I had to lightly sand both the edges on both the left and right side of the mag that the magazine well contacts. I have 10 mags total and only had to slightly modify two while the other 8 are fine. Cheers and stay safe!
Mark, id imagine it's just the magazine. Sounds like it's just a tight fit and most likely work itself out after using it awhile. You could do as James recommended and find where it's catching and lightly sand the magazine. A little oil to the magazine release couldn't hurt either. If you contact zastava arms they may be willing to send you another magazine. You can contact them at (847) 250-9727 or you can email ( warranty@zastavaarmsusa.com ). Sorry you're having trouble but hope this helps some.
This is how you become a gun smith, lol. Most likely, as mentioned, it's a simple magazine issue. These are mass produced and can sometimes go outta spec. A lil elbow grease where it's hanging up will most likely fix the issue!
Mark, the polymer mags (especially Gen 3) seem to be very hit or miss. Get some steel Serbian mags. The M90, unlike the M85, cannot come into the country with a double stack magwell. It has to be opened up here. Opening a magwell after the fact instead of just manufacturing it to take double stack mags can cause mag fitment issues sometimes. Some have had luck with the M85 steel mags in the M90. If it's really tight, it will wear in and you'll have a great fitting mag. I would call Zastava Arms, (847) 250-9727 or email warranty@zastavaarmsusa.com , they will probably send you another magazine that may just work.
