Edward, Bud's lifetime warranty is a supplemental warranty, to be used AFTER the manufacturer's warranty has expired. If your gun has a lifetime warranty, you are throwing money away by purchasing Bud's warranty. See Section III here budsgunshop.com/feeds/forms/new_lifetime_warranty.pdf .....If the manufacturer of the Covered Firearm supplies a warranty, such manufacturer warranty must be exhausted before a claim is made hereunder. .....Bud's will not pay until Taurus' warranty has expired. This should be made clear at time of purchase.
Hi Edward, Limited Lifetime Warranty is only recommended if the Manufacturer's warranty is less than life time. Otherwise, it serves no true purpose other than monetary benefit to Buds or any other retailer as the original claim must be made with the manufacturer anyway whether the manufacturer warranty is 1 year or lifetime. This fact is buried in item III of Buds Limited Lifetime Warranty : https://www.budsgunshop.com/feeds/forms/new_lifetime_warranty.pdf ------------ It is advised to read every word of any warranty especially before any $ is paid to understand every aspect. Taurus will take care of your firearm in any event. Cheers and stay safe!
