Brian, no the Mossberg Shockwave is not legal in CA. budsgunshop.com/product_info.php/products_id/45327/mossberg+%26+sons+shockwave+590+14+20+ga+5+1 .....The Shockwave you are asking about has a 14" barrel, not CA legal, this is considered an 'other' firearm. Under CA laws, it is classified as a SBS (firearm that shoots shotgun shells and has a less than 18" barrel length). The Shockwave James is referring to has an 18.5" barrel and is considered a shotgun. If it has a 14" barrel, it is not legal in CA. Brian, unfortunately it's not legal in California due to the 14 inch barrel. If you check out the products description buds states it cannot be shipped to CA or MA. Sorry but hope this helps.
