200gr hollow points is what I'd use for carry. Lots of knockdown power without over penetration. As far as brand, I like any Federal munitions. American Eagles have been 100% reliable for me with tens of thousands of rounds fired.

As you can see. Many like all kinds of ammo. I'd try a few and see what runs best through your firearm. Only time will tell but all the ammos mentioned are good in their own ways.
