Nancy, yes the Stevens 301 20 gauge will shoot slugs, the improved cylinder choke is normally best for slugs. Do not use full choke for slugs. Have a great day!
Hi Nancy, yes you can, no issue with slugs. Cheers and stay safe!
Nancy, yes you can shoot slugs threw it no problem as long as it's the standard black stevens 301 20 ga Wich includes a removable modified winchoke and is perfectly safe to shoot slugs threw. The Stevens 301 turkey comes with a extra full choke Wich I would not recommended for slugs at all, it can damage or destroy the barrel and possibly cause injury. If you have the 301 turkey you can buy other chokes and use slugs but extra full chokes are more constricted and too tight for slugs to safely pass through. The Stevens 301 uses winchoke style chokes. If you're not sure wich one you have if you post again with the model number or upc and we can let you know. You can find the model number and upc under the products description. Or you can remove the choke and it should say what type it is. Hope this helps.
Yes, you can use slugs. If it has a rifled barrel you'll want to use Sabot Slugs. If it's a smooth bore barrel the you'd want to use rifled slugs.
yes you can you most likely will get your best accuracy with IC choke installed
