John, credit card purchases are not tagged as a gun purchase. Although your credit card company may see a purchase at a sporting goods store, there is no way for them to know the actual item you are purchasing. They wouldn't know if you purchased a gun, a gun case, or a sleeping bag. Initially, there was a big push for reporting firearm sales through credit cards, but there was also a lot of backlash, and there is nothing instituted at this time.
