Hi and welcome Xavier. Unfortunately not Sir. Only Long Guns can be purchased/transferred across State Lines. Handguns must be transferred to/in your State of residence. Cheers and stay safe!
Xavier, unfortunately to purchase a handgun your address/license has to match the state you do the background check/transfer. If you only plan on being in Ohio for the summer I'd recommend contacting the FFL dealer/gunshop you would have it shipped to in Texas and see if they would be willing to hold it until you return. Or you could use buds 90 day layaway plan so you know it's purchased and won't go out of stock or anything and pay it off and have it shipped to Texas when you return. Sorry but hope this helps some.
Hi Xavier, sorry but the answer to your question is no. Hand guns can only be transferred in your home state. You could purchase it in Ohio, and have it shipped to your FFL in Texas, but you cannot take possession of it in Ohio. Long guns can be purchased across state lines, but not handguns. Stay safe & have a great day!
