Recoil is very tolerable with 45LC standard loads. Substantial with the .454 Casull and somewhere in between with the .410 load. Recoil will be a tad more in the 3" compared to the slightly longer barrel in this demo : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NW5-4V91ELo

If you are an experienced revolver shooter you'll have little trouble with this gun. If you do not normally shoot heavy recoiling revolvers and/or do not know how to properly grip it you will have lots of trouble with this firearm from what I've seen on my range.
