Ken, it has a 1:8 twist ratio. Remington use to make them with a 1:12 twist but switched to 1:8. If it has an R prefix in the model number then it is current production with the faster 8 twist. Older stock without the R prefix has the slower 12 twist. The model numbers (R85417) so it has a 1:8. Hope this helps.
