So you want them to open the box to check that the number on the actual firearm matches the serial number on the box, understood. Can't open boxes at Bud's as they may have to sell at a discounted "Open Box" price? Your only other option here As Edward C. just mentioned though is, once it arrives at your FFL just inspect it to make sure it is what you want, If not, then do not proceed with transfer and have your FFL set up a return To Bud's. Hi Ken and welcome to the Buds Community. Buds should be able to simply state whether the batch of Remington V3's they have have Serial Numbers starting with RAS or not. They need not give a specific Serial Number but a Yes or No would answer your question. I would call and ask if they could verify whether or not with their Inventory Dept. Otherwise you can purchase elsewhere : Cheers and stay safe!
