Hi Ken and welcome to the Buds Community. Both Single and Double Action "traditional double-action", which means it operates either in single-action or self-cocking mode. Cheers and stay safe!

Ken, this is a double/single action. So you can pull back the hammer for a light single action trigger pull or just pull the trigger for a quick but longer/heavier pull. If you want a single action only I'd recommend checking out the heritage barkeep. If interested in the barkeep just use buds search and type in heritage barkeep. They have several options available. You can purchase a 22 mag cylinder separately for $30 and shoot both calibers. If interested here's a link to a similar one to the Diamondback.
