HI Richard it depends on the state youre in. Here in Ca my FFL charges sales tax. Most states do not.

At Buds, you only pay sales tax if you are a resident of the state Buds is located or if you purchase local at Buds. Your FFL may or may not charge sales tax on their transfer fee. Most will have a fixed transfer fee.
