Michael, insurance is not mandated, you can opt out of it. Insurance is $1 per $100 of insured value. The actual shipping costs are what drives the price up. Unless shipping is free, it usually makes ammo purchases on line too expensive. Stay safe & have a great day!
Michael, you don't have to get insurance. On the first page of checkout where it shows shipping prices there will be a little circle for insured and uninsured. Just click on uninsured. It does seem insurance prices increased. Normally it's $1 for every $100 of your orders total. So $2 for $200, $3 for $300 and so on but I just looked and was more like $1.50 per every $100. Again just click on the uninsured option on the first page/shipping and you'll w Still have to pay shipping but not insurance. Hope this helps.
Hi Michael and welcome to the Buds Community. Agreed. Not really a big difference with insurance compared to without insurance. 10 boxes for me to NC is $2.25 insurance $14.25 compared to $12 without insurance. It is worth piece of mind for possible lost, stolen or damaged packages considering. Either way you can opt out of the insurance on any purchase during checkout. Cheers and stay safe!
You're not obligated to add the insurance but I absolutely do with ALL my orders. Better to be safe than sorry...
