Barry, yes sir, a 1:9 twist for 300prc will be just fine for 200+ grain ammo. It's a good middle ground between 1:10 and 1:8 and the twist rate id personally go with. You'll do fine with 200 possibly up to 230 grain ammo. As mentioned earlier all rifles are different. I'd recommend buying a few boxes in several different grains/brands and see what it shoots best but 1:9 twist should be a about perfect for 200 grain ammo. Hope this helps.
