I Have the Mossberg Patriot and love it. I've never shot the Thompson.

While I have never shot them I would buy the Mossberg patriot myself Mossberg over the years has always been a company that builds a good solid firearm. Thompson has (IMO) been more hit or miss

I don't own this particular rifle but own 2 Mossberg's a 590A1 Shotgun and a Shockwave. All reviews I have read over or seen have been favorable and I have no reason to believe their rifles are any thing less than the quality of any other firearms. Accuracy has been exceptional in those reviews as well.
