Robert, Sig does not acknowledge there is a problem with the barrel, as per their reply to an inquiry about it - Thank you for contacting Sig Sauer 22LR ammunition is typically a dirtier ammo which can cause increased fouling and leading in the barrel and bore. Cleaning intervals for the P322 will vary depending on ammo, since some is much dirtier than others. Standard cleaning with a bore solvent and brass or nylon brush will resolve this fouling. We have seen an increase in claims of lead fouling from consumers shooting exclusively lead rounds. We recommend alternating between lead and copper plated .22 LR ammunition to help rectify that issue. . Stay safe & have a great day!
