I asked this question to the community and received a replay that quoted 1 in 9.5. On the Ruger website it says 1 in 8.5. Is this just a mistake or did Ruger change the twist rate at some point?

Stan, always trust the manufacturer. This has a twist rate of 1:8.5. I noticed on 9/18 you asked the twist rate on a Howa-Legacy 1500 Standard Hunter 7mm-08 Rem Wich does have a 1:9.5 twist rate. This Ruger has a 1:8.5 twist rate. Hope this helps.
