There's no difference both have the same magazine count 7+1 On alot of firearms there are 15 round mags. Ca would have a 10 round mag if that was the case.

Probably the firing mechanism (drop testing) and other required safety feature certification. In truth the ones that are legal are the ones that gun makers are willing to pay the California AG extortion (which is the only real difference).

The CA models have been submitted to CA for testing and inclusion on the CD DOJ handgun authorized list http://certguns.doj.ca.gov/
