I have had the PT111 G2 as well as the first version (Millenium) and they have both worked flawlessly. I have actually forgotten to clean them in between trips and they've fired flawlessly. Never a jam or misfire. I'd say that for the price point , it is top in its class as far as guns ranging under $250. Its what I keep mounted below my dashboard 24/7/365.

Taurus quality tends to be hit and miss. What people fail to realize is that if you are serious about being proficient with a pistol that the ammo will cost more in the first year than what you pay for a quality gun. Base your decision on whether or not it works when you get it back would be the prudent thing to do.

I would give it a try when it gets back from repair. like mentioned Taurus quality is hit or miss I have 2 (pt92 and PT1911)that have been great check out TaurusArmed forum (web search)

I've bought multiple Taurus pistols and all are phenomenal and far better then I expected. Yours sound like its a problem child and I'd trade it. But don't hesitate to buy another, Taurus has been A+ as of late. You have a true anomaly.
