Troy, this is a 429 DE. It's a relatively new caliber created by Magnum research in 2018. the .429 DE is basically a .50ae necked down to .429 (i.e. 44 magnum bullets) which will be 25% faster than a 44 mag with 57% more energy. 240gr bullets at 1600fps for 1405 ft.lbs and 210gr bullets at 1750 fps for 1427 ft.lbs. so it's a mix between 44 mag and 50ae. Hope this helps.
Hi Trey and welcome. It is neither but a new caliber created by necking a .50AE down to .429 (44Mag) as pictured here : https://www.gunsandammo.com/editorial/magnum-research-429-desert-eagle-de/361654
Trey, the caliber on this is .429 DE. Magnum Research launched a cartridge in 2018 called the .429 Desert Eagle , which is designed to boost the velocity potential in the Desert Eagle semi-automatic pistol. This bottle-neck round blends features borrowed from the .50 Action Express (.50 AE) semi-automatic pistol cartridge and the .44 Mag. revolver round to accomplish this. Stay safe & have a great day!
