Hi Alan and welcome. This will be a judgement call. I own the 940 and love it. I purchased it when 12ga ammo was relatively inexpensive but, now with the high cost of ammo, the 930 will meet all your needs with more $ dedicated to training and self-defense ammunition. Cheers and stay safe!
