I'm wondering which would be a better gun for a woman to conceal carry. I've read that the lc9s is highly recommended but I'm still unsure between these two. thank you!

The LC9 is typically considered more pleasant to shoot than the LCP.  The LCP is easier to conceal, it'll drop right into a pocket, but the felt recoil is something to consider.

The LC9 will probably be your better choice. For concealed carry, the most comfortable gun to carry will likely be the most effective gun for you to carry. You can always upgrade as your skills and confidence level increase.

My wife really likes her LC9. She is 4'9, petite and she handles it well. The LCP is too small

I suggest finding a range with rental guns and let her try both. both have their advantages and disadvantages

THE lcp is smaller, it have a strong recoil, The lc9 is a bigger bullet. the lc9 is a 9 mm. The lcp is a 380. It depends the caliber you want 9mm or 380'
