The LC9 is typically considered more pleasant to shoot than the LCP. The LCP is easier to conceal, it'll drop right into a pocket, but the felt recoil is something to consider.
The LC9 will probably be your better choice. For concealed carry, the most comfortable gun to carry will likely be the most effective gun for you to carry. You can always upgrade as your skills and confidence level increase.
My wife really likes her LC9. She is 4'9, petite and she handles it well. The LCP is too small
I suggest finding a range with rental guns and let her try both. both have their advantages and disadvantages
