i have seen accessories for tactical shotgun stocks that say something like "recoil reduction" but they do not define if that is just a stock with a recoil pad/buttstock or if it has an actual mechanism to severely reduce the recoil even more than the pad/buttstock. i am on a low budget so it does not have to be actually "tactical" as long as it severely reduces that recoil effect on a 12 GA Maverick 88 and also on Mossberg 500(i own both). are those stocks interchangeable with each other?

Larry these are basically slip-on sleeves with built in air chambers that decelerate the backward motion of the gun to reduce recoil. The "limb Saver" brand works extremely well.  Example  : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gIaO0leGpps
