This is not NY compliant due to the shorter barrel length. This would be put into the same category as the Mossberg shockwave which is known as an "Other". "Others" have been banned for sale in NY state. As a fellow NY'r I'm not happy about it.
Hi Tim and welcome. Unfortunately no. When Henry Repeating Arms released the "Mare's Leg" as a Pistol approved by the BATFE, the NYSP Superintendent (at that time) decided they were a "Short Barreled Rifle" and therefore not legal to own in New York.... word has it that many Dealers sold them here anyway so long as you had a Handgun Licenses, and it was amended to reflect it. Simply put, you can not legally get one in NY due to it being an illegal firearm under NY laws. The Henry Axe is a Title 1 Other. Cheers and stay safe!
Tim, no sir, the Axe is in the same category as the Mossberg Shockwave and is not legal in NY State. (The Mare's Leg referenced below is a completely different gun and has nothing to do with the Axe) Stay safe & have a great day!
Tim, short answer is unfortunately no, this is not legal in new York. Sorry but hope this helps.
