Bought this gun and was looking at it, aiming, racking the slide, and such. I dry fired it to get a feel for the trigger. While doing this I noticed that I didn't have to rack the slide to reset the trigger and the firing pin would strike every time I pulled the trigger. Is this a thing for this gun?

Yes, this model has a restrike-capable trigger. Subsequent trigger pulls following the first after racking the slide should be heavier as you are recocking the striker in the process.
