Efren, yes sir, this and all models of the Ruger PC carbine are takedown models. Simply push a little button and twist the barrel/handguard off. I own the American flag camo version of this and fantastic rifle. Much better than the keltec sub 2000. The Smith and Wesson M&P fpc and S&W response are both great 9mm carbines but still think I prefer the Ruger. Hope this helps.
