Hi Michael and welcome. Once a firearm is transferred it is yours. You have the option of contacting the manufacturer for a solution or service first. If they cannot fix the issue or determine the problem, will likely replace the firearm. If you need to talk to Buds Customer Service, they are here : 1-859-368-0371 9am-9pm EST Mon-Fri. or use the Blue Chat now button at the bottom right corner 9am to 9pm Mon - Sat and 9am to 7pm Sunday.
Michael, once you accept a firearm from the FFL, you can not return it. You will need to contact Ruger for advice and/or warranty work. You can contact Ruger's Customer Service Department at 336-949-5200.
Michael, if it's new and just having the occasional misfeed it could just need broke in. Normally firearms will have few issues until you shoot 300-400 rounds through it. Some firearms just don't like certain brands of ammo. Unfortunately once the firearms transferred into your name buds or any gunshop I've dealt with will not return a firearm. Don't believe they're legally allowed to. That's why I always recommend thoroughly inspecting the firearm before doing any paperwork. If you find any issues before doing the background check/transfer just deny the transfer and your FFL dealer will ship it back to buds, no charge to you and you'll be refunded. Once it's transferred into your name it's officially yours and cannot be returned. Any issues would have to go through the manufacturer. Id recommend contacting Ruger customer service at 336-949-5200. Sorry you're having trouble but hope this helps some.
