What is the black ornament pieces some said had to be installed by the purchaser, what parts come "uninstalled" I'm looking for something like this with the door break and almost bought this until I read that review post.

Hi Justin and welcome. It is the Heat Shield that sits atop the Barrel. Just take your time so the wrench does not slip to scratch the barrel and the install is no issue. Cheers and stay safe!
