Hi Tom and welcome. The 3 inch model is out of stock. https://www.budsgunshop.com/product_info.php/products_id/100191/taurus+692+357mag+38sp+black+3+7rd+adjustable+sights+includes+9mm+cylinder ------------------------------- If you mean replacing the 6.5 inch barrel with a shorter barrel - Possible? Certainly. The Real Question is, is it WORTH what it will cost, and IMO, No. By the time you buy a Barrel, Take it to a Gunsmith, have the Barrel Fitted (It's not just a "Screw-in" Part, it needs machining to set the Cylynder/Forcing Cone Gap), the Timing Checked, and the rest, you could have just Bought the same model WITH a 3″ Barrel, probably for less than the Gunsmithing alone.
As James G. mentioned, it'll be cost prohibited going the route of a barrel change. More work swapping the barrel than one might think. It's not as simple as a Shotgun barrel swap!
